Description
I am taking a photography class at a community college and I'm really learning alot! This photo was the result of a DoF assignment. Hope you like it!

I'm not sure where the focus point is, I think the foliage in the bottom left is more in focus. The focus point should have been on the flower stalk, then with a wide aperture you could have minimised the DOF and produced a blurred background.
The foliage at the top looks slightly over exposed, as does the top of the flower stalk, you could tweak the image in PC to attempt to reduce this (if there is enough detail).
I'm not sure that this works as a black and white, as there doesn't seem to be anything to attract the eye. I don't know what colour the flower stalk was, but perhaps selective desaturation could be used.

I really like the tones in this. I think it could use a bit more contrast by darkening the shadows slightly. The DOF could be widened a bit though, because it only looks like the bottom right corner is in focus.
